We are currently recruiting for an Enterprise Data Modeller to join our established and experienced Chief Information Office team here at Intact.

As part of the enterprise data strategy, we are building a connected, managed data architecture that enables smarter decision-making, operational efficiency and business value.
This role focuses on the Enterprise Data Model and Canonical Data Model as key enablers in our strategic data architecture. These artefacts ensure that our important data is consistently defined, well-connected and aligned across the value chain, enabling interoperability between systems and maximizing business value.
As Enterprise Data Modeller, you will lead the documentation of enterprise data needs across multiple projects and engage with a wide range of business, data and technology stakeholders. You will also define canonical data formats for seamless data exchange across strategic platforms, ensuring consistency and scalability across the enterprise.
Your skills and experience
The responsibilities of the Enterprise Data Modeller include:
Enterprise Data Model (EDM) Development Design and maintain the RSA EDM as a strategic asset, including subject areas, glossary and best practices.
Support enterprise data architects with technical tasks such as reverse engineering and productivity automation as well as with data modelling methodologies (relational, dimensional) and effort management.
Model Change Management Governance & Communication
Manage EDM/CDM versioning, governance and change control processes to maintain integrity and traceability.
Maintain change log on all updates and ensure change approvals are in place.
Help communicate updates to EDM/CDM structure and guidelines to the solution data teams.
Business and Technical Requirements Analysis
Facilitate structured workshops with business and IT SMEs to understand and validate enterprise data needs.
Ensure the EDM and CDM accurately reflect real-world business processes and data structures.
Data Governance & Compliance
Maintain metadata, reference data and lineage within the deliverables. Integrate with the enterprise data governance platform / data catalogue (Microsoft Purview).
Collaboration across Architecture and Data roles
Partner with solution data architects and other roles to reflect solution needs in EDM and CDM.
Support Data Architecture initiatives, e.g. contribute to solution data architecture reviews to ensure alignment, and ensure that the mapping to EDM / CDM has been performed correctly.
We are also looking for the following technical skills:
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and seniority levels.
Enterprise Data Modelling Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in designing and integrating conceptual, logical, and physical data models, using both relational and dimensional modelling techniques
Proven experience working on Enterprise Data Models and Canonical Data Models.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin (required)
Experience with enterprise application integration methods and tooling (required)
Exposure to data quality and data management tools (beneficial).
