We have an opportunity for a Technical Expert in Commercial Claims to join our great Claims team within Loss Adjusting Services (LAS) on a hybrid basis. 


You'll make an impact by: 

As a Senior Commercial Loss Adjuster, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing large, complex commercial claims, ensuring they are handled efficiently and in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. 


You will be responsible for managing claims within your individual authority, typically from £100K, optimising indemnity spend through tight control of leakage and ensuring claims are settled in a timely manner. Your role will involve working closely with various departments, applying your technical expertise to resolve claims and mitigate risks, all while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. 


A key focus will be ensuring operational efficiency by contributing to the productivity of the wider team, maintaining compliance, and adhering to internal policies. You will play an active role in raising the technical knowledge and capabilities of the team by sharing best practices and supporting ongoing learning and development. 


Your skills and experience 

You are a knowledgeable claims professional with a deep understanding of handling large, complex commercial claims, ideally within property insurance. Your technical knowledge allows you to effectively control leakage and optimise indemnity spend while ensuring claims are processed quickly and in line with company and regulatory standards. 


You excel in delivering high-quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction, even in problematic cases. Your attention to detail, good organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure mean you can balance multiple priorities while maintaining operational efficiency. With a collaborative mindset, you work well with colleagues across different departments and are keen to contribute to the overall productivity and technical growth of your team.
