This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly respected Commercial Real Estate Claims team based in our Manchester office. Following ongoing growth & development within the team we are looking for motivated, enthusiastic & customer service driven individuals to join our team. Whether you are experienced in the insurance sector or not, the right training programme will be tailored to your needs. Managing a caseload of Commercial Real Estate Property Claims, you will be responsible for supporting our customers in their time of need throughout their claims journey, from taking the initial notification all the way through to settling their claim. You will proactively liaise with internal & external stakeholders on a consistent basis, building great working relationships with our customers, brokers & suppliers. You'll make an impact by: Efficiently and effectively settling our customers insurance claims. Handling customer claims, from notification through to validation, negotiation &settlement. Handling claims up to £10,000 with the opportunity to increase your claims authority up to £100,000 Ensuring reserves are accurately set and maintained throughout the life cycle of each claim. Building and growing relationships with our brokers and direct client's, being their dedicated contact within the team. Working both individually, and as part of a team, to deliver high standards of customer service. Looking at innovative ways to improve existing processes to benefit our customers and ourselves alike. Your skills and experience You will have experience in real estate, commercial property, or general insurance claims Experience with stakeholder management and building and developing brokerand customer relationships As an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, you will possess a genuine passion for customer service.
Oversight and management of the required Technical Standards within the function to allow delivery of business requirements to the required technical proficiency and quality.
Identification of effective and proportionate technical related business control procedures in line with internal policy and material external legislative and/or regulatory requirements.
Responsible for risk consulting’s engagement with the wider Intact Risk functions on technical matters and engineering standards.
Ensuring risk consulting has suitable technical representation and engagement with external bodies including RISC Authority. Oversight and responsibility of risk consulting’s licence framework, technical training programmes and development pathways.
Oversight and responsibility of risk consulting’s QA process and leadership referral point.
Acting as internal escalation/arbitration point for highly detailed risk engineering matters addressing technical refferals and raising standard and knowledge across the technical community.
Providing specialist advice, guidance and coaching to less qualified and/or experienced colleagues.
Experience in Property Risk Engineering and also a good understanding and interest in Casualty Risk Engineering.
Experience of developing and delivering Risk Management solutions.
Experience of working directly with senior customers, and/or partners.
Significant depth and breadth of experience across a range of lines of businesses, products or types of customers. Influencing and developing teams.
